Get the Word Out

"The word of God kept on spreading; and the number of the disciples continued to increase greatly in Jerusalem, and a great many of the priests were becoming obedient to the faith." (Acts 6:7, NASB)

"But the word of the Lord continued to grow and to be multiplied." (Acts 12:24 NASB)

"So the word of the Lord was growing mightily and prevailing." (Acts 19:20 NASB)

The early church took the world by storm. The Believers had a fire, the Holy Ghost fire, on the inside of them. They were compelled to spread the news about Jesus all over the world. They didn’t have all the technology and modes of transportation that we have today. The disciples’ ability to spread the Gospel (Good News) of Jesus Christ was limited. However, the early church did not let limitations stop them from sharing the Word of God.

Living in the 21st century, we have been allotted all kinds of ways to get the Word out. We have an abundance of methods for spreading the Gospel. We have the capability to reach people all over the world, but we can’t waste anymore time. Now is the time to share Jesus. Now is the hour to tell someone that Jesus saves. Now is the time to offer Christ to someone, anyone, whosoever will listen. We can’t keep what we know to ourselves and we cannot go through this life not doing what others have done for us. Share Jesus because time is running out. The Lord will return soon and we want to be found doing His work (Matt.24:45-51).

Yes, we’re busy with our own schedules and with our own personal issues, believe me, I know. Nevertheless, there’s still work to do. We have to share the Gospel because so many people are hurting, many are confused, and people want to know. They need to know. We can’t only be concerned about me, myself and I. There is so much more than just living this life for ourselves.

When Christ came, He showed us how we should live. He showed us how we should make a difference in another person’s life. Jesus showed us how to be selfless, how to give of ourselves, and how to be a servant by serving others (Matt. 20:28). God wants us to make a difference in this world. We’re not ordinary people. We’re not the average woman, the average girl, the average person. We’re more than that. We’re peculiar people, unique not like this world. We're set apart, a holy nation called by God to do great works for Him. We’re not here to just exist. No, we were put on this earth to do more than just that. We are here to make a difference. Every person we come in contact with needs to know that they are loved and there’s a Savior who died to save them. Yes, Jesus came to save the lost.

Sisters, it’s time to start winning souls for Christ. Let’s go out and make a difference in someone’s life today! Let’s make a momentous impact on the world. Let’s deliberately go out of our way to get the Word out that Jesus is the only way (John 14:6). It’s our time to take the world by storm! Touch another person’s life today. Someone is waiting on us to tell them the Good News of Jesus Christ.
