But the Scriptures declare that we are all prisoners of sin, so we receive God’s promise of freedom only by believing in Jesus Christ. (Gal. 3:22, NLT)

Bound? Shackled? Held captive? A prisoner of sin? You can be free today. Our Savior wants to free us. When we receive God's promise of freedom by believing in Jesus Christ, you and I are freed from the curse of sin. All we have to do is believe in the Lord. Yes, it’s that simple. I love the way the Amplified version reads Acts 16:31.

"And they answered, Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ [give yourself up to Him, take yourself out of your own keeping and entrust yourself into His keeping] and you will be saved, [and this applies both to] you and your household as well." (Acts 16:31 AMP)

We cannot save ourselves by works, by trying to be good or “by rule-keeping, but only through personal faith in Jesus Christ” (Gal. 2:15-16, MSG). Jesus came to free us. He came to liberate every one of us. For all have sinned. Jesus paid for our freedom by giving His life for ours. And now, as Believers, we are true heirs to Abraham. Therefore, the promise that God gave to Abraham belongs to us (Gal. 3:29).

So, my sister, let’s walk in freedom today. Let us enjoy the promise of the Holy Spirit who lives in us. He will lead and guide us on our Christian journey, and He’ll keep us on the right path.

Happy Friday!

“So if the Son sets you free, you are truly free.” (John 8:36, NLT)
