The school year has come to a closed. This weekend my niece will be graduating from High School. I can’t believe she’s graduating. I think about when she was a little girl, the things she use to do and say, but this weekend will be her special day. It will be a day to celebrate her accomplishments.

Graduating from High School is a major accomplishment in my book because there are so many kids dropping out of school. Some find it hard to make it to the High School level. Then, there are some who make it to the 12th grade, but end up quitting and walking away when they were so close. I wonder why quit when you are right there, but sadly many children walk away from getting their high school diploma. Nevertheless, my niece made it! She accomplished that goal. She has worked hard, had some struggles, but she made it. She didn’t quit. She’s finally graduating from High School! What an accomplishment! Go Taylor!

As I laid in my bed thinking about Taylor’s graduation and her accomplishments, I thought about us Christians who will one day graduate from earth to glory. We’ve been through a lot, lost love ones, experienced tragedies, crisis, and disappointments. We’ve had some highs and some lows, but if we hang in there, we’ll be graduating soon! We’ll graduate from earth to glory. We’ll leave this earth and rise to the highest heights. We’ll leave this sin infested place behind and soar to a land where the weary will be at rest. We’ll leave this decaying corrupt world behind, and graduate from mortality to immortality (1 Cor. 15:53). Soon, we’ll graduate from Hell on earth to Heavenly bliss!

Many won’t get see graduation/heaven. Some will walk away and some will give themselves to the evil one (2 Tim. 3:1-9). But on the day of graduation, all saints will have on their caps and gowns (palm branches and white robes). There will be a number that no man can count and we will sing our graduation song:

“Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne and to the Lamb!”

(Rev. 7:9-10).

Graduation Day is coming! What a day of rejoicing that will be!! Will I see you there? Have you gotten your business in order (accepted Jesus as your Savior)? Will you have enough credits to graduate (by grave you are saved through faith, not by works (Ephesians 2:8-9)? Will you receive your diploma (believe on the Lord Jesus and you shall be saved-Acts 16:31)? Will you hear the Valedictorian (Jesus) say, “Well done, good and faithful servant! (Matt. 25) Come on up a little higher!” Will the Master of the Ceremony (God) call out your name? Is your name written in the book of life (Rev. 20)?

Sisters, I want to see you there on the day of graduation!

During your quiet time, meditate on today's scriptures. Know without a doubt that you will graduate and see the Savior face to face!
