I have discovered that when we make a commitment to God, the enemy hears us and begins plotting. He starts attacking our families, our finances, our jobs, our bodies, and our minds. Whatever and whomever he can attack, he does! When we open up our mouth and announce we're going to do something for God, the enemy brings out all his tricks. He wants to stop us!

I've made a commitment to the Lord to be faithful to this devotional ministry. To be honest, it has been very hard, extremely hard. Some days I'm crying, some days I'm excited! Some days I'm angry, some days I'm rejoicing! Some days I'm discouraged and frustrated, while other days I'm encouraged and hopeful! Whatever type of emotions or feelings you can think of, it seems like I experience them.

Sometimes, I feel burdened down with this assignment God has given me, but because I made a commitment to God, I keep going. However, the enemy keeps going too! He does whatever he can to stop me from sending these devotionals out, but I won't stop. I may hit road blocks. I might have some delays, but I'm committed to God.

Sacrifice and meal offering You do not desire, nor do You delight in them; You have opened my ears and given me the capacity to hear [and obey Your word]; Burnt offerings and sin offerings You do not require. Then I said, "Behold, I come [to the throne]; In the scroll of the book it is written of me. "I delight to do Your will, O my God; Your law is within my heart."

(Ps.40:6-8, AMP)

Can I share with you what the Lord told me?

Continue to be prayerful. Praying is our weapon in this Christian journey (Eph. 6:18). We have to keep talking to God. Prayer always works, but it doesn't work if we don't use it!

"Pray without ceasing"(1 Thess. 5:17, KJV).

Stay in My Word. God's Word strengthens us when we're weak. His Word is our lamp that encourages us and motivates us to stay on this crazy road called life!

"I cherish your commandments-oh, how I love them!- relishing every fragment of your counsel. Remember what you said to me, your servant- I hang on to these words for dear life! These words hold me up in bad times; yes, your promises rejuvenate me." (Psalm 119:47-50, MSG)

Get an accountability partner. Find someone you trust, who will push you, pray for you and life you up. When you want to quit, feel like quitting, your accountability partner will motivate you to keep going.

"Friends come and friends go, but a true friend sticks by you like family" (Prov. 18:24, MSG).

"You use steel to sharpen steel, and one friend sharpens another" (Prov. 27:17, MSG).

Sisters, we opened our mouths and made a declaration - a commitment - to the Lord. Now, we must remain committed. Keep our war clothes on (Eph 6:10-20) and stay prayed up!

It's Wednesday- Hump Day!

Here's a biblical principle to help us get over the hump!

Be prepared. You're up against far more than you can handle on your own. Take all the help you can get, every weapon God has issued, so that when it's all over but the shouting you'll still be on your feet. Truth, righteousness, peace, faith, and salvation are more than words. Learn how to apply them. You'll need them throughout your life. God's Word is an indispensable weapon. In the same way, prayer is essential in this ongoing warfare. Pray hard and long. Pray for your brothers and sisters. Keep your eyes open. Keep each other's spirits up so that no one falls behind or drops out.

(Eph.6:13-18, MSG)
