Uncharted Territory

Some of us are walking on a new territory. It’s an uncharted territory and a different path. It’s an unfamiliar. It’s new to us. We’ve never done this before. We’ve never seen this previously, and we’ve never been here. It’s all new to us. Whether it’s a new job, new marriage, new city, a new believer, new life, a new responsibility, a new church, a new ministry, a new dimension.…it’s new and different for us.

We’re walking on unaccustomed grounds and because it’s not familiar to us, we are uncomfortable. This new space has us feeling uncertain, hesitant, and anxious. This unknown road that God has brought us to may have us feeling afraid, uneasy, and excited at the same time.

Now that we’re here on this new path, here are 3 things we remember.

  1. God has brought us here. Remember that God is sovereign. He is eternal and ever-present. He has allowed us to be in this setting. Where we are is unfamiliar; however, it is part of His perfect plan. He has it all planned out.

  2. It’s not new to God. Since God has put us on this new path, understand that our Father is all-powerful and all-knowing. This uncomfortable place, though strange to us, is not foreign to God. This position is right where God wants us to be.

  3. Enjoy the journey. God has strategically placed us in this new path. Now, let us enjoy it. We mustn’t waste precious time complaining about how different it is. Yes, this is unfamiliar. Yes, it’s uncomfortable. Yes, we are unsure. But we can count on God. We can trust Him. Give God thanks and relish every moment.

Sisters, we’re in a new territory, but it is right where God wants us to be. It’s exactly how God planned it. Where we are did not catch Him by surprised. Nothing surprises God. Let’s find peace in knowing that the Master is in control. He always is. He always does. And He always will be.

Pray this prayer: Father, thank You for caring so much about me. You have prepared my life before I was born. I was predestined to be here. I put my confidence in You. Give me peace to relinquish my will. I give You total control. These anxieties I’m experiencing is not of You. Father, replace my fears with Your love, Your power, and give me self-control. Thank You for being my portion and strength. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

It’s Wednesday, Hum Day.

Here’s our biblical principle to help us get over the hump.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jer. 29:11, NIV)

Our women's retreat was amazing! What an incredible weekend we experienced! The Walking in Freedom! Women's Retreat was everything I envisioned, prayed for, hoped for, and so much more! After all the planning, meetings, and late nights, God went above and beyond our expectations. He exceeded them all....As usual!
