Today is my son’s birthday! He is 20 years old. No longer in the teen years, and a year away from being legal. Wow! He has grown from a rambunctious little kid into an intellectual skilled musician, a Christ-follower, a compassionate, heart of gold young man.
Kaleb, we are exceptionally proud of the man you have become, and we know God has extraordinary things in store for you!
Remember Joshua 1.
“No one will be able to stand against you as long as you live. For I will be with you as I was with Moses. I will not fail you or abandon you. “Be strong and courageous, for you are the one who will lead these people to possess all the land I swore to their ancestors I would give them. Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the instructions Moses gave you. Do not deviate from them, turning either to the right or to the left. Then you will be successful in everything you do. Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Be strong and courageous, Kaleb. For you will lead people to Christ through your music and life. Kaleb, be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all of God’s Word. Son, do not deviate from them, turning either to the right or to the left. Then God will make you successful in everything you do.
Remember who you are, who you stand for and where you came. Remember your name Kaleb represents faithful, devotion, whole hearted, bold, and brave. When others fail to believe God, stand firm on His Word. Remember God always keeps His promises. Stand up for what’s right even if it means you have to stand by yourself. But Kaleb, you know you are never along. God is always by your side. Lead by example. Continue to trust God and live for Him. Continue to be light in this dark world. Continue to allow God to be your source for EVERYTHING!

Keep being a leader and a difference-maker! Keep seeking God first. Wait and watch Him do His magnificent work through you! Cling to God in the good and the bad. Keep glorifying God with your music, actions, words, and life. Stay humbled because God will constantly open doors for you and take you places you never could imagine. He will definitely make room for your gifts. I see Him doing it already!
Son, you’re incredible and this is just the beginning! You are vital and the world needs you. God has been grooming you for such a time as this.
