He Loves Us

John the apostle is known as the beloved disciple, the disciple whom Jesus loved. He’s the disciple who leaned on the bosom of Jesus after supper. (John 13:23). This disciple loved Jesus and he followed afar off as they marched Jesus from judgment hall to judgment hall (John 18:16, 19, 28). Because of his boldness and love for Christ, John was banished on the island of Patmos (Revelation 1:9).

Everyone wants loved. All we really want and need is to be loved. We want someone to love us and show us true love. I believe Jesus told His disciples over and over again that He loved them. He tells us He loves us over and over and over again, though sometimes we’re not listening. And the enemy doesn’t want us to hear nor does he want us to know God’s love. He doesn’t want us to believe that the Creator of all loves us. Satan doesn’t want us to hear our Savior say to us, “I love you, I love you, I love you.” So, he fills our ears with non-sense. He doesn’t want us to know just how much we are loved; however, throughout scripture God makes His love for us very clear!

“The LORD has appeared of old to me, saying: “Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you….”  (Jeremiah 31:3 NKJV)

“For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life.” (John 3:16 AMP)

There are many passages from the Bible about God’s amazing love for His creation, but we have to read it for ourselves. We have to learn of God’s wonderful love. Search the scriptures and find out for yourself just how His love is indescribable! Get to know the Savior and His amazing love today. For we love Him because He first loved us (1 John 4:19 NKJV).

Once we truly understand just how much God loves us, the shackles will begin to fall off. Once we see ourselves the way God sees us, we can truly walk in freedom. Jesus loves us so much and He wants us to know it! Every day God goes out of His way to show His amazing love towards us. Our Father’s greatest example and display of love was seen when He suffered and died for all mankind. He took our place on that old rugged cross. He became our substitute, giving His life for ours. Yes, He loves us just that much and so much mor e! More than we can imagine.

Sisters, it’s Wednesday, Hump Day! Here’s a biblical principle to help us over the hump.

“But God–so rich is He in His mercy! Because of and in order to satisfy the great and wonderful and intense love with which He loved us, Even when we were dead (slain) by [our own] shortcomings and trespasses, He made us alive together in fellowship and in union with Christ; [He gave us the very life of Christ Himself, the same new life with which He quickened Him, for] it is by grace (His favor and mercy which you did not deserve) that you are saved (delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ’s salvation).” (Ephesians 2:4-5, AMP) May we embrace God’s love today!

During your Quiet Time, meditate on today’s scriptures and allow God’s Word to brighten your day.

LET’S WALK IN FREEDOM TOGETHER & IMPACT THE WORLD!
