Every day we wait for something. We wait at the stoplight. We wait for the train to pass by. We wait in traffic. We wait for the rain to cease. We wait in lines at the grocery store, at the Post Office, at the bank, in the doctor’s office. The hospitals have built a unique room just for the purpose of waiting. We wait for paydays and tax returns. We wait for that special package or that special day to arrive. Every day we wait for something or someone.
However, for some reason, we find it hard to wait on God. We wait for everything else in this world, but it seems like we want to rush the Master of the universe. Though it may feel like it’s taking a lifetime and we want to give up, we have to keep waiting on God. We must not stop believing in what God has promised us.
God is not man, one given to lies, and not a son of man changing his mind. Does he speak and not do what he says? Does he promise and not come through? (Num. 23:19 MSG)
Are you waiting on God?
Are you waiting for those things which He has promised you?
My sister, know that God always keeps His promises. Always. Yes, at times, the waiting part can be extremely difficult, but continue to wait on the Lord. Keep waiting, waiting with expectation.
During your waiting process, I pray that God’s Word and His sweet Spirit will guard your heart and mind. I pray that you’ll remember that God has great things in store for you. Whatever you do, don’t give up on God. Be encouraged to keep walking in freedom and trusting in God while you wait.
